I have two things to cover tonight. First, I’d like to remind those who volunteered to help with field work that Field Day is this Saturday at 9:00AM. Please bring work gloves if you have them as most jobs will be messy or dirty. It will be 80 degrees so I will bring some cold drinks, but if you want something in particular then I urge you to bring your own. Also, if anyone has a sturdy garden rake or something similar that can be used for raking the stones back into position around the pick-nick benches, then please bring it. I have one but it is a two-person job.
I plan to tackle the dismantling and replacing of the radio impound shelving, so the remaining items I need help with are:

  • Cleaning up the shed
  • Painting the bulletin board enclosure
  • Brushing sealant onto the start-up benches
  • Fixing the stones in the eating area
  • Installing the cover over the stands (once we find it in the shed)

Also, Tony and Stan will be fixing the banner posts beside the front gate.

Thanks… and now for the fun stuff:

A message from Paul Meier about Opening Day:

To all JCRCC Members:

We will be welcoming another new flying season on May the 6th with an opening day party. All members are welcome as well as their guests. There will be coffee and danishes in the morning starting at 9:00AM. A nice lunch is also planned from 11:45 to 12:45. The club is supplying the food, but please bring your own drinks.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO COME AND HOW MANY GUESTS YOU ARE BRINGING. I need to know so I know how much food to bring. Please send me an email if you plan to come no later than May the 2nd. (pamei7@aol.com)

Thank You,
Paul Meier
