In Memory of Thomas Karl

September 14, 2008

Thomas (Tommy) Karl was a life-long aviation enthusiast and a long term member of JCRCC.  He built some beautiful aircraft from scratch and kits.  He was also a skilled pilot.  His interest was in sport aircraft and gliders.  He was also a full scale pilot.  He maintained and flew a vintage 1950s AirCoup that he kept at Allaire Airport.  He lived in Brick and ran an active electrician’s business.  He struggled for many years with serious illnesses and multiple surgeries.  In spite of real pain, he met everyone with a smile and quiet conversation.  He died at a young age.  We do miss him and wish him peace.
